Wireless CarPlay: What to Actually Expect From the Install
Wireless CarPlay is one of the most requested upgrades we install, and also one of the most commonly botched by a rushed job. The screen going in is the easy part - keeping everything else working is where it gets real.
Your steering wheel controls should still work
A proper install integrates the new head unit with your factory steering wheel controls using the correct interface for your vehicle, not a workaround that only handles volume.
Your backup camera and sensors too
If your vehicle came with a backup camera or parking sensors, those need to feed into the new head unit cleanly. This is where a lot of quick installs cut corners.
What wireless actually means
True wireless CarPlay connects automatically once it's paired - no cable, every time you get in. Some "wireless" adapters are less reliable than a direct wireless-capable head unit. We install head units with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto built in, not a dongle taped behind your dash.
